Cura Children’s Inclusion Camp III – Saanenmöser, Switzerland

Building on last year’s memories of jumping all together on the over-dimensional air pillow at the Alpenruhe, learning about how to make cheese (and overeat) at a local Alp, having a blast feeding, brushing and riding the horses at the Saanen stable with Natalia and finishing the days with cozy dinners cooked together, we decided to run our 3rd camp.

The intent of this camp is to create once again the feeling of inclusion and foster the sense of belonging for children with disabilities. For the first time, we are also welcoming children from the local special needs school, as well as our returning campers, social workers, parents and volunteers.

Our home for the week is again a rustic, local mountain hut just above Saanenmöser in the Bernese Alps.

The Cura Children’s Inclusion Camp III is about offering the same activities to everyone, while providing support and services to accommodate children’s differences. We select the activities, taking into consideration the unique strengths along with the challenges of every child.

Everyone will discover that children with and without disabilities have more in common than differences.
